This website is dedicated at promoting in Victoria (Australia) the creation of an eco-community or eco-village along the principles laid in Vladimir Megré's books, the Ringing Cedars Series: Book 1: Anastasia Book 2: The Ringing Cedars of Russia Book 3: The Space of Love Book 4: Co-Creation Book 5: Who are we? Book 6: The Book of Kin Book 7: The Energy of Life Book 8, Part 1: The New Civilisation Book 8, Part 2: Rites of Love [To order those books www.RingingCedars.com.au]
This is an independent initiative, not related in any direct manner with the movement started in Russia—the link for the International representative is: www.RingingCedarsOfRussia.org/ — or the Ringing Cedars official forum in English —which link is: http://www.RingingCedarsForum.com/
Basically I am interested in starting a project of a moderate size land divided into 2.5 acre plots for people sharing Anastasia's vision to build their family domains and houses. I am specially interested to have one such project starting in Victoria, although it is nice to know that other projects are also starting in other locations.
The idea of an eco-community is to develop also a school and other shared facilities, to balance the individual freedom given to each domain, and to provide a neighbourhood of similarly minded people —for oneself and for the children.
Each plot would agree to leave half of its surface to natural vegetation and habitat, or reforestation. The rest can be used for orchards, vegetable gardens, lawns and ponds, or any other ecologically friendly use. So, half of it will be native habitat, but only half of it at minimum, the rest can be mixed vegetation to accommodate our European heritage and our requirements. This is not, in my mind, a green community where only what's native is the strict rule. What matters is the love, the integrity and the awareness of possible imbalances that we could avoid.
A central area could be reserved for the Community Centre, with community hall, school, healing centre and shared facilities. The school may follow the principles sketched in Megré's books, but could also derive much inspiration from the Sudbury Valley School in Massachusetts or, closer to us here, the Candlebark School in Victoria. The size of such a school could help determine how large the eco-community could be. Vladimir Megrée in book 5, page 116-117, suggests a land no less than 150 hectares, which amounts to at least 120 family domains, possibly 140. I would say it could be possible to start with only a dozen domains. Which would mean a possible land of 40 acres, if we want to reserve 10 acres for communal purposes (community hall, school, sheds and shared facilities etc.).
Each family domain could be 2.5 acre for a single person or single parent, or, may be, 5 acres for a couple or a small family. Basically every adult is entitled to 2.5 acres. Finding a suitable land with possibility of council approval and a figure for the cost could be one of the first task, once some interest has been expressed by enough people. 12 people seems to me a minimum, but many more would certainly give more interactions and richness, as we are social beings, not hermits.
So, please express your interest by sending me an E-mail with some of your details (telephone/mobile, location, your familiarity with Anastasia's teachings, your dream and suggestions etc.). Gatherings, Garden blitz, walks in nature etc. will soon be offered.

A possible scheme: just to inspire! (12 is, of course, a minimum, it certainly could go up to 140 kin domains)

Interesting statistics
Australia’s population: 21 Million people
Australia’s surface: 7 741 220 km2 i.e. 774 Mha Arable land: 6.15% i.e. 476 085 km2 i.e. 47.6 Mha
Surface of arable land by inhabitant: 2.26 ha !
[Arable land includes land defined by the FAO as land under temporary crops (double-cropped areas are counted once), temporary meadows for mowing or for pasture, land under market or kitchen gardens, and land temporarily fallow. Land abandoned as a result of shifting cultivation is excluded. Ref. www.nationmaster.com/encyclopedia/].
So, let’s dream of a fair dinkum Australia in which each inhabitant could have 2.26 ha of arable land ! Which means that in this Dreamtime Australia nobody could have more than the 2.26 ha of arable land and prevent others to have access to some land !
The non arable land (93.85 %) could be left to National Parks, Aboriginal Reservations, deserts, cities and other collective property —and could be leased to city dwellers, factories, and all forms of industrial and rural exploitations in a transitional period.
This would also give Aboriginal people the choice to have the average 2 ha lot or to be the collective custodian of larger reserved lands.
Apart from the 2ha allotment by inhabitant, no other land property could be allowed in the delimited arable land area.
Well, this is only a dream, and meanwhile not everybody is ready to start a kin domain in a rural area. Still I would like to keep the direction of a dream like this one for the future centuries —the grand children of our grand children.
